Caliber Quiz

While cleaning up my dresser drawers, I found an old shell casing from my past, pictured on the left beside a two and 3/4 12 gauge shotgun shell and a .22LR round. Free link and bloggie recognition to the first commentor that can state the caliber and gun....

Highlight to see the answer: The 20 mm M61 Vulcan

I figured I'd be too late. It's just as well, as I have no blog to link.

Poor man's .600 NE. Can't even find a shoulderable gun that would shoot that one.

CTD is selling 20mm dummy rounds for around $10 for 3. Been thinking of getting the pack to add to my collection of desk toys at the office.

I was a 20mm gunner on the USS Holland. (submarine tender) We had two of them. Practice was loads of fun. 55 gallon barrels make great plinking cans.
I still have 5 empties in the links on my bookshelf.
