Tabasco Chili

I was out shopping for some chili and dogs today, when I spotted Hormel chili with Tabasco. I like chili. I like Tabasco. I decided to give it a try.

Bad idea. This stuff sucks. It tastes like vinegar and ketchup with some ground up turkey for flavor. If you thought about trying it, think again. Buy something else.

I've always been of the opinion that if I wanted Tabasco on or in something, I'd splash it in there myself.

Glad to see that my line has paid off.

  3. I've always thought that Tabasco tastes like vinegar and ketchup. I hate the stuff. There are a great many hot sauces out there that are vastly superior to Tabasco, and I have never understood why it's so popular.

  4. C'mon... Pretty much anything out
of a can - excepting beer, canned
corn, peas, soaked beans - is
    pretty much asking for
    disappointment...

I'm shock, SHOCKED, that a southerner like yourself could
    even entertain the thought of
    chili from a can!!

    ;)

  5. Good job there, Xavier. I should have posted about that stuff and given you fair warning. Bleah.

  6. Tex-Mex and Mexican food need Mexican peppers; Tabasco is for Cajun food. You wouldn't put chipotle peppers in gumbo, would you?

  7. I learned long ago that Hormel chili is bad. Even on hot dogs, it's pretty crappy stuff.
