Xavier, Thanks for the link. I clicked over there and was knocked out. Now, I'm not a nurse or any other kind of medical person, but I've been in hospital a number of times (most recent for colon cancer and resection. Am recovering nicely).
Med and mystery books fascinate me. While in recovery for above surgery, I read "How Doctors Think" by Jerome Groopman and "Better" by Atul Gawande. His "Complications" is also terrific. "Dead Center" by a PA named Shiya Ribowsky is interesting mainly for its description of his work as Medicolegal investigator for NYC after 9/11.
Our 20 year-old daughter is interested in obtaining a CNA license. I will be reading more of the nurse's link and sharing it with daughter.
I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
