Gun Show

The Gun Show is coming this weekend. I have a few items in mind......In no particular order, and assuming the price is right:
A Smith & Wesson M&P with target sights
A Smith & Wesson Victory modified for carry
Any vintage carry gun with interesting modifications
A Colt New Agent
A M1911
A M1911A1
A Red Eagle Ruger Standard

The reason I still enjoy gun shows is you never know what will show up. It might be a long sought after part, or a Registered Magnum that the seller thinks is just any old gun. I enjoy meeting up with old friends too.

Ha -- you still have guns at your "gun show"? Here in Southern California it's all beef jerky, turquoise, and neo-nazi t-shirts.

I know you're my best source for information on handguns, but I need a little advice on long guns. There's a gun show here near Denver in early February. I have a Mossberg 144LS [Christmas, 1954] that I'll keep in CO. But I need something similar - a 52? - for when I'm out in Ohio. [Too long a back story for now.] Any suggestions for .22 target rifles? OldeForce

  4. OF,
A Mossy 52 is an excellent little rifle. I used to have one with a fold down forend. I wish I still had it, accurate as hell. It did require the old style pincher scope mounts.

In today's world, it's hard to beat a Ruger 10/22 for ruggedness, and with the right barrel and optics, they are tackdrivers.

The Marlin 60 needs nothing done to it but a scope placed on top if you like.
