Gunnie Frame Repair

"Xavier, the front of this frame came off the back, can you fix it?"

"I don't know Honey, a bit of Elmer's should do the trick. Do you have any clothespins to clamp it with?"

"No."

"Heavy duty rubber bands?"

"No."

"Those heavy black spring clips that you use at the office to keep your papers together?"

"No.........."

"Well, let me see what I can do........"

A good friend of mine in East Texas used 2 trigger locks in what I thought was a unique way. He used about 18 inches of monofilament line between 2 of them suspended on a nail on the front door in place of a "door knocker". I wonder what any miscreants thought when they approached the door? priceless.

  4. That is fantastic. Now I know what to do with all of the free gun locks I have received.

  5. Good label "uses for trigger locks," you should add it to the cheap-commuter bike post where you used one to lock the basket to the rack.

  6. ET, I would have but I had to go a different route once I mounted the new fenders. They are too close to the rear rack for the lock to fit. Once I put them on, I went to three different types of attachments for the basket, so a thief would need three different tools to get it off. Once ifind another way, I'll shoot a pic.
