Assrot, are they disabling the mechanism, somehow? I'm not a fan of Ruger Autos, but they're not known for being anything short of stout. I've seen some lemons out there, but never one that would actually fall apart. . .
Oops. Senior moment on my part Matt. I just had eye surgery and am still not seeing too good.
I didn't see the "Ruger" logo on the slide. The bling on this gun made me think of the cheap, pot metal 9 mm pistols made by Jimenez Arms.
The Jimenez guns are quite popular in the barrio down here. Most that I see are pretty much on the lines of the picture Xavier posted.
You're right about Rugers. My dad has a Ruger in .45 ACP. You can't kill it. It is definitely the "brick house" of pistols. Definitely not a carry gun though.
If it wasn't for the jeweling on the thing, I'd love to own it. with sippling like that, it won't be going anywhere without a good crowbar to pry it loose. Could be a good treatment to one of the early "Slip'n Slide" Glocks
I really think Citizen H has it right: that thing has been coated in roll-on textured truck bed liner. And then everything else was jeweled to a ridiculous degree.
I bet it was a rescued piece that got horribly scratched up when it fell off the roof of a car or something. Jeweling swirls to dig out the scratches on the slide and controls, Rhino Liner on the frame. I can't prove it, but that's my theory.
If someone took an honest Ruger and did that to it for aesthetic reasons . . . . well, it's similar to the way I feel about the lowered Hondas with the giant wings on the rear of FWD cars and a thousand pounds of fake carbon fiber accessories. It's not that your car is slow, and it's not the amount of crap that's offensive--it's the fact that you went to so much effort and spent so much cash in an effort to make it that slow and ugly that gives me heartburn.
I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
now THAT is the worst combination of jeweling and stippling... at least that's what I assume it to be on the frame.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing that, I now think that jeweller's rouge should be a controlled substance.
ReplyDeleteThat's, that's, that's just so WRONG in so many ways.....
ReplyDeleteThad
Hmmpf. Did he stipple inside the trigger guard too?
ReplyDeleteYa know, it has its place.
ReplyDeleteRight next to a gold capped tooth.
Maybe the owner of this gun has an issue with excessive palmar sweat? Looks like nothing on that gun will slip from a sweaty hand
ReplyDeleteDid they dip the frame in a bucket of Rhino Lining? Jeebus.
ReplyDeleteMan! I thought Rugers were ugly to "start" with. (shudder)
ReplyDeleteThese are quite common in gunshows down toward Miami and relatively inexpensive. You can pick one up for less than $200 out the door.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is they only last for about 3 boxes of ammo before the slide comes flying off and slaps you in the forehead.
Fugly is as fugly does. You get just exactly what you pay for with one of these.

O.M.G.... And yeah, what Tony said...
ReplyDeleteYep that is about the ugliest gun you have shown to date.

ReplyDelete. . unfortunately, in this case.
