Comment Moderation

I have had to initiate comment moderation here because of a cowardly member at The High Road who disagrees with the moderation there and who wishes to type foul mouthed comments anonymously here. I regret the inconvience.

That's sad. Not surprising, but unfortunate just the same.

  2. It's sad that you have to do that, but there are some crazy people about!

  3. At least you only have one such. It's a shame that when individuals give up their self-control, others have to make special efforts to control them. By the way, I left a comment on your Oct 28, 2005 post.

  4. If it's the one i'm thinking about, it looked like the guy trying to insult you was saying more about his own lack of an argument and own inability to engage in any sort of discussion, than he was saying about you and the blog.

True, you have no obligation to give him a platform, but, unless we engage these people, how do we sharpen our arguments for the bigger political battles?

  5. Bummer. Maybe you can try to go back to unmoderated posting later on in the future.

  6. Sad, but not really surprising. Keep up the good work. You've got a great blog.

I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
