Jeff Cooper is gone

Friends,
At the request of the family it is my sad duty to report the passing of our founder, Jeff Cooper. Jeff died peacefully at home this afternoon while being cared for by his wife Janelle and daughter Lindy.

There will be a private internment at Gunsite by invitation, with a public memorial service at the Whittington Center at a date to be announced.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

DVC,
Ed

  1. Rest in Peace.

I learned a lot from that gentleman's writing. Tip the old chapeau at his passing.

  2. You probably won't hear about this in the mainstream media. Jeff Cooper never dangled a baby off a balcony or slammed into a reporter after a night of drunken partying.

But while the celebrities of this world will fade, I can guarantee people will still be learning from Jeff's writings many, many years from now. And I think that's the best legacy of all.

    He will be missed.
