The Evolution of Cassie

Cassie is wanting to learn to shoot for self defense. Eventually she hopes to carry a gun. As a Medical Social Worker, she realizes that she sometimes enters into volatile situations in menacing locations. She has not told me whether she has actually been threatened or not. I really do not have a need to know that. Her right to self defense is absolute.

Cassie has shot handguns before with her father and husband. Before now, she has relied on her wits for her survival. Her wits are keen. She has survived.

As a five foot one woman, her ability to defend herself in a hand to hand lethal confrontation places her at a cruel disadvantage. She needs tools. She has made the commitment to evolve.

Last night, she recited the Four Rules, and she familiarized herself with the pistol she will shoot this afternoon.

  4. The world has become a hard place, where even a kind face can lead to trouble. So I don't blame her.

  5. Hope she is not cross eye dominant... That makes it a pain with a pistol. Good for her though! I'm firmly convinced EVERY woman should be given mandantory training and a free gun for protection!

  6. she is very fortunate to have you as a friend and mentor...

an aside, though...there are no "menacing locations", just places where menacing thugs are likely to congregate and take advantage of the unprotected.

but thanks to you and others like you, cassie's armed and capable presence there along with a growing army of similarly determined and inclined free and fearless citizens are our best hope to reclaim those areas from the evil, opportunistic lowlifes there, and in the process free the good people who are no doubt the majority there to live their lives fearlessly as well.

ain't equalized freedom great? protect the right of xavier to teach and cassie to be empowered, and ultimately save the world...what a concept, and more critical now than ever.

and keep up the good work, xavier...you are an inspiration.
