It appears that at least in some ways Gaston has been listening to his disciples.
Update: Fake? A photo analysis
I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
It isn't broken, so it doesn't need to be fixed.
ReplyDeleteThey managed to make it even homelier than the 3rd generation guns...
ReplyDeleteOther pictures show the finger groves to be just as bad as the 3rd gen guns.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's ambidextrous. They put ambi releases on the "SF" models with the frames reduced, and it made it impossible to use the old magazines with the new guns. That didn't make a lot of sense to me unless all the newer guns from then on were going to be able to use those magazines.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I can see finger grooves there, too, but they do look subtle compared to the current versions. I never minded the finger grooves, though.
Wait, did they improve 'perfection?' Gaston n' friends painted themselves into a linguistic corner, there.
ReplyDeleteBut can it core a apple??
ReplyDeleteIf they move the grip angle to the classic 1911 also used by the M&P guns then - WIN.
ReplyDeleteIf not - then it's SO-SO.
The cocking serrations look, um, well...
ReplyDeleteTerrible.
(For the record, I'm a glocker...)
Can I just keep my Gen 1? It still works... :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Glock DOES listen! If you ever get a chance to attend a GSSF meet, there are normally Glock Factory Reps there, who are more than willing to listen.
That looks like a photoshop. I'll believe it when I see it. I'll probably keep using my 3rd Gen no matter what.
ReplyDeleteThey are saying on the Firearm blog this is a fake with a vote and all.............. some peoples kids!
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog by the way!
i dont know how old this post is, but i know they 4th gen is real. i held one today. i live in kentucky.
ReplyDeletei just purchased the 4th generation glock and the hand grip is much better than my other Glock side arms. It was a Glock 22 fullsize; the performace was sensational which is what you expect, as far as the grip difference on the slide i dont see any competitive difference I actually prefer the old slide grips just because of the old school nestagia.
