Pawn Shop Circuit: Taurus Indecision
Neil still had the Winchester 30/30, and nothing new was out of hock. I probably showed up to early.
Across the river, Amber still had the Taurus Model 80 for $139. That darned gun is talking to me, but I refuse to pay more than a C note for it. It's probably the quentissential gun I should not buy.
Reasons I should NOT buy this Taurus 80:
It's a cheap copy of the S&W Model 10.
It costs $139, a beater Model 10 can be bought for that.
It's nickel and the edges are showing wear.
It's just not interesting enough.
High risk of durability/reliability problems.
Reasons I should buy this Taurus 80:
It's a cheap copy of the S&W Model 10, my favorite gun
It only costs $139, and I can afford that.
It's nickel and that's kind of retro TexMex cool.
It's obviously interesting me.
Possibility of an interesting and reliable gun.
Damn. If Amber would go $100 and give me a money back guarantee, this would be sooooo simple.

Off topic, but I was having trouble viewing your blog today - it keeps redirecting me to the Museum Quote Machine website before the frontpage finishes loading.
weird! do you have a URL?
"If you have a doubt, there is no doubt".
Or, as Hog on ice would say, 'Trust your inner wiener dog'.
Pass on the Taurus. Maybe a little WECSOG (Wile E. Coyote school of gunsmithing) on the shotgun would be therapeutic/instructive/a good excuse.
Just my 2 cents....
Now it's not doing it. I think it was museumquotemachine.com or .org, but it redirected me like 4 times when I was at work.
Another reason not to buy it: It's a cheap copy of the S&W Model 10, and you need to save the money for the next S&W Model 10 you come across, which may be next week...
Josh: I had problems most of the afternoon getting to any Blogspot blogs...
They were doing maintenance yesterday. If anyone has any further problems, please let me know....
Is that why blogger was so funky? Why the heck did they just redirect everything to a message saying that? I have 4 or 5 regurlar reads that are on blogger. I kept trying them.what a waste of bandwidth.
It's still doing it. I'm wondering if it's something you've got in your sidebar - no other Blogspot sites are giving me the same problems, not even mine.
I think I exterminated it Josh, Thank you! If it occurs again, let me know. Sorry for any inconvience.
