Backbone

Brendan "Dan" McKown, the man who was facing paraplegia after taking several rounds to the torso in the Tacoma Mall, WALKED out of the hospital on Friday, the 13th.

"At least you know I have a backbone," quipped Dan on the way out. He has feeling now in his legs, and is walking with the help of braces and a walker. Yeah Dan, you have a hell of a backbone.

Hat tip to Mr. Completely

Heck yeah!

I was thinking about him today. I'm glad he turned out alright.

McKown is a lucky guy based on earlier reports of his injuries. Wish him a speedy full recovery.

In the linked article, did anyone note the 'machine pistol' reference?

"Authorities say Maldonado marched through the mall, firing an assault rifle and a machine pistol,"

Guess this is the next evolution, semi-auto became automatic, and now, it jumps to machine gun.
