Ernie K-Doe for Mayor!

Voting has already begun, and Ernie K-Doe, self proclaimed Emperor of the Universe and fixture of the Big Easy has entered the race for Mayor of New Orleans. Unfortunately, Ernie has been interred in the St. Louis Cemetery for the past five years.
The campaign is vintage K-Doe, who died in July 2001 at 65 after a colorful music career. His campaign T-shirts show him grinning with his trademark long hair cascading over his shoulders, decked out as Uncle Sam. Funds raised from the sale of T-shirts and bumper stickers will go to rebuilding the Mother-in-Law Lounge, which remains a shrine to K-Doe and his music despite being damaged in the floods after Hurricane Katrina.
