He Won?

Even Ray Nagin can't figure this shit out! He wrung his hands and cursed the feds while the city under his watch flooded and thousands became parched after days on rooftops while dead bodies floated in the flood waters. How in the hell could he get re-elected?

It's time for a bunch of idiots to return to the punch bowl before the next hurricane season arrives. Maybe Darwin will prevail at last........

The people got what they wanted. Let 'em rot.

Apparently white people crossed over and voted for him, thus enabling Nagin's "I have a Dream" of a "Chocolate city".

Maybe they decided that if they were going to have a corrupt mayor, they wanted one who is a proven incompetent, rather than one who is possibly competent and corrupt.
Thats' the best face I can put on it.
Still, NO has shown the country that they've chosen their fate - so please, not one whine the next time. Don't blame it on Bush, Rove, FEMA, the war in Iraq, racism or any of the many other excuses given for the criminal negligence and inspired stupidity demonstrated in Katrina.
Oh, you know we'll hear it - but one can hope for a strong attitude of "you made your bed, you lie in it".

un-fuggin-believeable that this nitwit could serve any additional time in public office rather than in jail.

Well, if they prefer his methods of 'governance', they can damn well do it without any more of my money. Or my kids'. Or my parents' money.

I recall contributing to the Katrina fund bucket at the shooting range. All the range officer's tips and all profits from the day's sales were to go to Katrina victims. I gave extra that day.

Then Ray Nagin decided to take guns away from honest citizens while he couldn't even police the streets, provide power or fresh water. Rather that give him the boot as he so sorely deserves the voters of NOLA put his miserable honor back in power for another term?

Forget seeing anything more from me when it happens again.

Heh - Drudge reports, "The Democratic National Committee strongly denies it placed political operatives in the city of New Orleans to work against the reelection efforts of incumbent Democrat Mayor Ray Nagin."
