Colt Supreme Commander

For those who have an affinity for engraved and inlaid Colts, CDNN now has the Supreme Commander ready to ship for a scant $1499.

*Stainless steel commander sized slide and frame with white dot carry sights
*Serial numbers US06-001 through US06-100; Only 100 produced
*Scroll engraving pattern with a "Supreme Commander" banner on the left side
*Right rear panel features a rampant Colt neatly concealed in the scrollwork
*A majestic Rampant Colt etched in 24 kt. gold adorns the top of the slide
*The limited edition grips are finely checkered double diamond hardwood with a distinct presidential seal and stainless hex head screws.
*Descriptive box insert and label

I'm not normally into engraved guns, but a certain special edition colt... maybe, just maybe...

Of course they'll all be snaped up before I could even make a decision I'm sure.

Oh, yeah, homebru. That is definitely a barbeque gun. Although you'd have to lose those tacky grips and get something in ivory.

Oh come on, engraved guns have a long tradition in the Old West. Even John Wayne used engraved guns in The Shootist (not his best and certainly not his worst movie).

Though I am only slowly developing a soft-spot for engraved auto-loaders.

I just received my Supreme Commander. Even had a choice of serial numbers, and I chose my birth year. It is a real beauty, and will remain in my collection until my "heirs" get possession of it. They can curse me for shooting it and causing it to depreciate.........tough luck!

i bought two of them when they first came out, and they are the most beautiful pistols of the 50 some 1911 colts i own. this pistol is a must to handle and you must see it up close pics do not do it justice. the gold colt on top of slide is to cool. if your thinking about buying one take the leap you will love it
