Is that marinated or a rub seasoning on that premium aged prime cut?
Looks to mee like a dry aged rub...
Yum!
I'm guessing a very light marinade of oil on the outside, and a dry rub of powder residue down the barrel.
Looks great on the grill. And you know when it's done because the ammo goes off like popcorn!
"Daddy, why'd you pile sandbags around the grill?"
Xavier,
I just got my C&R license and have a line on a Sistema. Got a quick question for you re: price. The place I'm looking at has 'em for $440 each - I know that there's a world of possibilities in pricing, but does this sound like it's in the general ballpark?
Thanks!
$400 is a good average ball park figure. If all guns are high in your area, then $440 is OK. It should be priced a little less than the Springfield GI45.
Thanks Xavier!
See, I'm in the Volksrepublik of MA, where our {spit} Attorney General {curse him} keeps an "Approved Firearms Roster" that represents SOME of the guns that can be sold in MA.
Springfield isn't an approved MA pistol. Neither is Kimber. Nor Colt... Any gun not on the list can only be sold in MA if it was in MA before 1998, or if someone moves into the state with the gun in their possession.
This drives the price of certain pistols sky-high. See Glock, third generation. Or any Kahr, which MADDENINGLY are made in Worcester, MA...
However, with the C&R I can spit in his face and order anything C&R eligible, meaning that the artificial price constructs brought about by the immutable law of supply and demand do not apply...
I asked because the co. selling the Sistemas was selling EVERYTHING else for significantly over what all other C&R sellers were; i.e. the CZ-52 that everyone else sells for $130 - $150 was going for $230 on this sight. If Sistemas typically commanded $300 I'd look around before ordering.
Thanks for your input!
