Xavier is a Registered Nurse who specialized in complex wound care. He has practiced for over fourteen years in his community. He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. He strongly supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes gun control of any sort, and carries a weapon 24 hours a day. Xavier is known on various internet gun forums as XavierBreath. He is married with three children, and is moderated by an apathetic one eyed cat, a goofy Golden Retriever, and a stalwart German Shepherd Dog. One day, he hopes to be deserving of them all.

The Four Rules
1. All firearms are always loaded
2. Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at anything you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
4. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it
The Five Rules of Concealed Carry
1. Your concealed handgun is for protection of life only.
2. Know exactly when you can use your gun.
3. If you can run away -- RUN!
4. Display your gun, be prepared to go to jail.
5. Don't let your emotions get the best of you.

the gunshot sounds dubbed
Well ... he didn't put the muzzle in his mouth ...
Yeah, the shot sound does seemed dubbed, but from his reaction it does seem to have gone off.
Sad sad sad...and if he'd put it in his mouth we'd have a darwin award moment caught on tape.
how is a guy that fooled a bunch of gun 'experts' an idiot?
no case ejected, no smoke, worst sound effect ever...
i don't like calling people idiots, but i gotta hand it to whoever stumped everyone here
Without stating any opinion on whether it was faked or not, I feel compelled to point out that 1/3 people on the internet will scream "ZOMG TEH PHOTOSHOPPTED!!!11?!/j" before they take a second look.
Besides, for every idiot who posts pictures of themselves being idiots with guns which are real, fake, loaded, unloaded, have firing pin removed, loaded with blanks, or any other number of excuses, someone is going to imitate it dangerously.
Sounds like the guy is swedish...
The comment right after the gun has gone off sounds like "Åh, helvete" with an astonished and surprised tone of voice.
Hardly needs translation, just substitute the expletitive of your choice after the "Oh, ..."-part.
Owning handguns is very rare in Sweden, very few people own them, and all of them are trained, you cant get a license without being police, military, a skilled competitive shooter, or something similar. You need to show a need, and that you can handle it. (Unless you buy it illegal, of course. But that's more of a career criminal sort of thing, and he dont look it...)
My guess is that dad needs to get a better lock on the gunsafe...
Or that it's a fake, but he sounds genuinely surprised...
I see several curiosities here....
as mentioned, no ejected shell, and no smoke. The sound sounds dubbed, and sounds like a rifle shot from Hollywood.
The boy does not appear to pull the slide back far enough to chamber a round. The slide of the pistol does appear to go about as far back as some Airsoft pistols do though.
Finally, the recoil out of his hands and his surprised expression into the camera is a little too good.
I'm leaning towards the faked side myself......... It's interesting though!
After listening to it for a bit, it's obvious to me that those are canned sound effects, though I think they were dubbed over the actual sounds since you can hear other sounds before the dubbed ones play.
Maybe someone dubbed over the other sounds to make them sound more "real"?
If my 86 year old very frail, half blind grandfather ever saw me handle a firearm like that (even if I was faking it on film), hed whoop me with the nearest switch available.

No Flash either. I'm wondering if this was a gun safety film? Maybe even anti-gun ownership propaganda? Seems a little staged as well.
Certainly staged. And I'm not going to bother watching it again, but I don't think he pointed it at himself or the camera. Sound's faked, there's no screaming and holding of ears (he's right next to that wall, his right ear will be ringing for weeks if that was real), etc.etc.
Was his finger actually on the trigger?
The "gun shot" sounds like the shotgun sound file I have for my mail notification.
Yeah... Too long of a report for a gun fired indoors. No muzzle flash. No casing ejected and it looks like his arm jerked back at the elbow instead of at the wrist from recoil. Red flags aplenty.
Does anyone remember this German kid who makes staged videos of him freaking out?

Can't tell if it's the same kid or not but it appears to be a staged video.
