Armed Citizen Expose' on 20/20
"Have you ever defended yourself from a crime in your home, in your business, or in public by using a gun? Perhaps you warded off a potential attacker by simply showing a gun?"
If you’ve personally used a gun in a legitimate act of self-protection against a criminal attacker, we encourage you to tell your story to ABC News. To tell your story, go here and complete ABC's web form.
To ensure that the NRA knows how many responses ABC gets, please send them a copy of your story by e-mailing armedcitizen@nrahq.org. You can also call NRA Public Affairs at (703) 267-1193.

I wouldn't trust ABC to tell a straight story.
I have a question about this.
The NRA has been publishing these stories for decades. ABC couldn't call them up to find a few people to interview and to list those stories? Why did they need to troll from their website where they are likely as not to get phony stories that will be shown to be hoaxes the next day?
I smell another MSM lie cooking in the ABC oven.
I am suspicious too. Since when has the "Main-Stream Media" become a source of the truth?
I will bet that there will be more attention given to those that have used a CW and been charged for doing so.
Caveat!
Speaking of lessons to be learned...
ABC needs to look at the responses posted here.
The first two, so far, all distrust the story before it is seen.
What does THAT say about why mainstream media outlets are getting fewer and fewer subscribers/viewers/readers?
Oh, that's right. We don't count out here in the "blogosphere" because we aren't part of their hand-picked focus groups.
Why believe truth when you can pay to be lied to?
hyunchback, The NRA's Armed Citizen column is just newspaper clippings. They don't talk to anyone, they just re-publish newspaper stories
"The NRA's Armed Citizen column is just newspaper clippings"
Hey, at least they're citing credible sources... (sarcasm)
The NRA's "Armed Citizen" collection was published in a book about 10-15 yrs ago. Starts about The '20s, IIRC. Gives a very informative view of how self-defense was seen then, and how it changed. The comments by the media and police changed over time. Big changes in the '60s. Also, the time factor for the justice system is interesting. I recall one shooting/robbery, where the wounded robber was in court 2 DAYS after the event, and sentenced to a prison term on the spot. THAT'S what we need now!
I wouldn't trust ABC-NBC-CBS-CNN at all! The only time they ever report the truth is by accident.
