Hey guys, there's a lot of good stuff in the archives, go look! I'm taking a break for a while.

Xavier is a Registered Nurse who specialized in complex wound care. He has practiced for over fourteen years in his community. He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. He strongly supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes gun control of any sort, and carries a weapon 24 hours a day. Xavier is known on various internet gun forums as XavierBreath. He is married with three children, and is moderated by an apathetic one eyed cat, a goofy Golden Retriever, and a stalwart German Shepherd Dog. One day, he hopes to be deserving of them all.

The Four Rules
1. All firearms are always loaded
2. Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at anything you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
4. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it
The Five Rules of Concealed Carry
1. Your concealed handgun is for protection of life only.
2. Know exactly when you can use your gun.
3. If you can run away -- RUN!
4. Display your gun, be prepared to go to jail.
5. Don't let your emotions get the best of you.

Everybody experiences burnout from time to time. I'm in one of those periods myself.
Take a break. Come back when YOU feel like it. It's not like somebody's paying you, after all.
Bummer. I enjoyed your blog. The pawn shop circuit allowed me to buy a lot of guns and not spend a dime, lol.
I'll check back in from time to time for your next post. Enjoy your hiatus.
Everyone needs to take a break now and then.
However, it seems to me that the only way to combat the incessant lies and stupidity of those who would take our freedom is to incessantly bark the truth.
I always look forward to reading your blog. Take a break, and I'll look forward to your return. I'm sure others feel the same.
See you when you get back!
And just when I'm about to pick up the Idiots with Guns slack on my own.
I'm sorry to hear that Xavier because i really enjoy your posts. However i would rather have inspired posting as opposed to you just going through the motions. And as you mentioned theres a ton of good stuff in the archives. I often find myself rummaging through them to learn more about guns and i'd have to say that its really helpful/informative/entertaining. So take care of yourself and hope to hear from you soon.
I'll keep checking for your posts.
Your pawnshop posts reminded me of that missed opportunity and got me to looking around locally at pawns.
Picked up a sweet 870 for my son at half going rate for the local market(San Diego). I owe you for that.

Go love on your family a little, you deserve it, and so do they.
I'll always say, post what you want, when you want.
I'll keep looking, but that's because I don't want to miss what you say.
May you have fair winds, and following seas, shipmate!
It is the virtual dating, isn't it?
your barking is better than most. Thats why we read you. Do what you want, but you got a little something in your bag. Dont forget we like to read your stuff.
I think it was Sailor Curt who summed it up nicely. Blogging is not a contest. You should blog what you want, and when you want, and not let your blog become a job. When you start getting burned out, back off for a while and take a short break. If you do a short post every once in a while just to let us know you're OK, though, that would be good.
Why not come to Reno for the Gun Blogger Rendezvous and hang out with a bunch of gun bloggers for afew days in October? We'd all enjoy meeting (and shooting) with you!!
.... Mr. C.
Xavier, I concur with the above comments. You've got a great blog and I've learned a lot from it. I look forward to you posting as and when you see fit.
Xavier,
Thanks for having shared so much of yourself with me and the world. I really enjoy reading your thoughts on the variety of issues you cover.
Enjoy your hiatus. I, like others who have commented before me, want nothing more for you than for you to enjoy blogging. It is a purely selfish motive, because we get to see the best of you.
I pray you will enjoy your down time between posts as much as I will enjoy reading what you have to say.
God bless,
Steve
