Armed Robbery in St.Louis
Note how quickly the rent-a cop chick places her revolver on the floor instead of using it. She quickly realizes her mistake and picks it back up, but it could have been a fatal error.
Next, she places the unarmed clerk between herself and the gunman. I guess he would make a nice bulletproof shield.
Finally, they all neglect to lock the door afterwards.
Just because you hire a security guard does not mean you have security. Carry your own gun, and know how and when to use it.
I do not like to second guess those who have seen the elephant, but much can be learned by analyzing shootouts after the fact. God bless the defender with the gun, and may God damn his attackers.

Oh.
My.
Gawd.
ARMED security, and she just bails BEHIND the clerk. If I'd have been the clerk, I'd probably told her to GET THE ____ OUT right before I locked the door.
tweaker
I think she might have had a prior job as a Chicago policeman.

Note also that when she returned to the front of the store from behind the clerk the first time, she again didn't have her gun; she had to return for it.
These folks are getting about $8.00 an hour. Window dressing.
Man, the "security" guard was a joke, wasn't she? The responsibility for your safety may START with alarms, guards, etc, but it ENDS with YOU. Be able to take responsibility for your own well-being.
Also, you notice that nobody gives any reaction when a hooded figure comes running past the front window toward the door. There should have at least been a hand on a weapon before he made his entrance.
St. Louis is a mess. The wife and I took a trip there for our anniversary. The highlight was going to buy a fan at a downtown Walgreens and seeing that they had hired an off-duty police officer to patrol the store. At 3:00 PM. Talk about a lousy job.
XB,
These videos are even better than your "Idiots with guns" series. I'm learning a lot. Please keep posting these valuable lessons.

What got me is how calm the security guard was after it was all over with.
Speaking of idiots with guns:

It looks like the clerk is packing, too. What's that on his right hip?
Xavier,
You were too generous.
The "security guard" was not only worthless; she was less than worthless.
(I would not be surprised if she was the robber's accomplice.)
If that cashier has the authority to bear arms at work, he has no one to blame but himself for that scenario.
I carefully watched everything he did and every direction in which he looked the whole time.
The guy is not alert and does not scan the area in front of him regularly.
He lets customers enter when his back is turned.
He seems to have no CCTV in front of him (overhead) that shows him who is lurking around the outside of the establishment.
That whole setup looks like a recipe for disaster.
