Scandium-Aluminum, and in fact ALL Aluminum alloys suffer from a fundamental difference from Steel. There is NO level of repeated stress that will not eventually result in fatigue failure in Aluminum. Steel if stressed at a fraction (generally about 10%) of it's yield stress repeatedly will never fail due to fatigue. The same is not true of aluminum. This behavior is unique to Aluminum Alloys. This is the reason why I am always leery of an aluminum framed gun.
