I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
That is just plain depressing.
ReplyDeleteThis is not good news. When I started shooting a little more than two years ago, I could buy a box of Blazer 9mm for $3.68 at Academy Sports and Outdoors. That same box costs me $6.87 now. Now it is going to be close to eight bucks... for 9mm!

It's the wrong time to stock up. It'll only cause price spikes and shortages.

(p.s. Reloading components have been going up, too. Luckily, I've been stocking up little by little since the holiday season.)
I started building an inventory back around 1992.
ReplyDeleteI always buy ammo at gun shows, I paid to get in might as well pick something up, & heck ammo is always good.
Walmart if I have to pick something up, might as well pick up a brick or two of 22's
Overtime the inventory has grown, & is up to about 40,000 rounds
So hopefully I'll have enough to weather the storm

First off..I feel this is just another attempt to stifle our gun rights through every and any means necessary. Metals have gone up quite bit no doubt,supposedly because of China's industrial need for metals. The increase in prices do not match the increase at the checkout counter. I've seen primers jump from $19.95 per 100 to $25.00 in just a few short months! i'm very fortunate that one of the guys at my local gunshop is nice enough to sell me primers from the shipment before their price was raised but that won't last much longer. I may have bought my last box for under $21.00 already!
ReplyDeleteSecondly...Don't you all think it's about time Winchester and the other ammunition manufacturers take a cut in their profits instead of passing the increase on to us? Come on now! We all know they can afford to take on the increase. If they really do care so much about their customers I'd like to see them prove it. We won't see any action from them until we show them we mean business. I seriously doubt it if their bottom line has decreased, if anything their profits are increasing on a yearly basis.
