Lt. Colonel Jeff Cooper was and still is an amazing source of wisdom. I never had the opportunity to meet him, or to train at Gunsite, but I wish I had on the former and hope to do so on the latter. I am a 34 year old former Marine, and can say that Colonel Cooper had a dramatic and lasting effect on my life. Not because he was a warrior, but because he was an intellectual who led a full life. Semper Fidelis Colonel Cooper, I look forward to patrolling with you in the next life.

Any day I can quote Jeff Cooper is a good day in my eyes. No one has put so eloquently, so often, the need for each man and woman to take personal responsibility for their safety and their actions.
