More on the Pasadena Perps

It seems a plainclothes Pasadena detective had just arrived on the scene and was an eye witness to the shotgun shooting of Hernando Riascos Torres (Miguel Antonio DeJesus) and Diego Ortiz in Pasadena Texas by Joe Horn.Hernando Riascos Torres (Miguel Antonio DeJesus) and Diego Ortiz Police are investigating whether the two toe tagged Johnnys were part of a crime ring linked to burglaries and the use of fake immigration documents.

Further, Leticia Zamarripa, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, states the two Columbians were in the United States illegally. The pockets of the leaky Ortiz contained a Puerto Rican identification card. Ortiz had two aliases. Torres had identification cards from Colombia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. He had three aliases. Men of the world.....The white bag the men stole from a home in the 7400 block of Timberline contained almost $2,000 in cash.

So let me get this straight.......American crack dealer and Black Panther hate monger Quanell X supports Diego Ortiz and Hernando Riascos Torres because they are were.....Quanell X.Thieves in the night? Or is it because they are were Columbians entering the U.S. illegally to commit crimes? Is it because they are were Bogata Muslims? Is it because they are men stiffs of a dark toned skin? Is it because Mr. Horn is Caucasian? Or is there another connection......Perhaps his distress is because the owners of the house Ortiz and Torres robbed are legal immigrants with Vietnamese surnames? Maybe it is because Quanell X needs racist injustice to eat. So.......Quanny, how about the racist injustice of two black thugs targeting immigrants and breaking into a dwelling owned by law abiding oriental business people to steal their hard earned money? The truth doesn't fit does it?

"Mr. Horn did not have to kill those men. We believe that Mr. Horn became judge jury and executioner at the same time," declared Mr. X over a bullhorn in front of Joe horn's home on December 2, 2007. Fine Mr. X. Believe what you want. Just get the hell off the man's grass.

"Just because a cat gave birth to kittens in the oven don't make them biscuits." - Quanell X

Just because a white man kills two black thieves in Texas doesn't make it a racist event you bigot.

Great post, Xavier.

I fear for the shooter's fate in our mamby pamby society.

50 years ago, hell, 15 years ago, he would have been hailed a hero for stopping two thugs - two professional, long time thugs - from continuing on their merry crime spree.

In today's society though - even here in Texas, I think he could be in heapum hot water.

Catfish, you should have seen the comments to Lisa Falkenberg's column in the Houston Chronicle, last time I looked there were over 1200 comments, and 90+% of them were supporting Mr. Horn.

This just in: The Harris County DA has the case. God help Mr. Horn. Given the evidence the MSM has streamed out, he may or may not have a prayer. More on the NO PRAYER side than the other.

Still haven't seen dat bit%& Sheila Jackson Lee show her face on t.v. Wherever Quanell shows up, she's sure to follow. She hates being upstaged on racial injustice cases, especially by men...and even more so by black men.

Hear! Hear!
I'm dismayed the gentleman let his nerves get the better of him and made him flap his gums to the operator. I have no problem with him shooting a couple career criminals, but his conversation with the operator casts an unfavorable light on his actions. It'll be interesting to see how everything works out.

I wish Mr. Horn didn't shoot. Only because I worry for HIM. But then again.. I'm thankful that he took a stand. I wish he was my neighbor. I wish I had the intestinal fortitude he does. If left with the choice of one side or the other, I will NEVER side with criminal. I support Mr. Horn 110% in this case. I hope the Grand Jury drops it. I hope Mr. Horn sues the living crap out of all of the "Journalists" that pour out the sickening sympathy for the criminals and their families for Defamation of character.

I hope criminals all over the United States take notice that they might be F*ing KILLED if they break into your house or mine.

According to the Houston Chronicle, a plainclothes detective who was waiting to apprehend the burglars saw them approach Horn, which bolsters his claim to self-defense.

Of course, this statement also proves that the cops were there, ready to make an arrest, when Horn took the law into his own hands.

On the other hand, if the cops were already there, what were they doing allowing the criminals to approach another home/resident? I think his statements were unfortunate because the perceptions of gun-ignorant folk might be shaped by them, but I don't have a problem with what he did. I hope the law sides with him.

Great post. We all heard Mr Horn warn the criminals: Move, you're dead. Did they freeze? No - according to the plainclothes officer the suspects not only did not freeze, but they headed directly towards Mr Horn. It then went from simple burglary to an attack on Mr Horn, which would justify his actions as self defense. If they had simply frozen as ordered or even if they had run away from him, then they would not have been shot. It's a good thing he shot them or we would have instead read about the poor neighbor guy who was killed by two burglars that did not want to leave any live witnesses behind.

I'd be damn proad to have Mr. Horn as my neighbor. America has become a blame it on everyone else society. You get caught stealing, then come towards a guy with a gun,be it a cop or a citizen, you get shot. That is not racist, you are not violating their rights, you are enforcing the law!!

Jury's still out--literally.

Corner is reporting the perps were both shot in the back, which doesn't bode well for Mr. Horn.
The grand jury will have to sort out the facts and either drop it or recommend charges. Murder would be ridiculous but maybe not manslaughter, depending on the facts of the case.

I haven't heard the 911 tape yet, so really don't have an opinion. A lot hinges on any eyewitness testimony that can corroborate Horn's claims.

He's lucky he's in Texas and not Washington DC or the UK. His chances for justice are better in TX.

Quanell X is in any case still a shamelessly opportunistic, race-baiting ass, though.

I think the problem here is that the criminals might have been unarmed when Horn shot them. Making this a case, not of self-defense but rather "homocide". Also I noted in my research that Horn shot them in the back. I would like someone to please explain to me how you shoot someone in the back WHO IS APPROACHING YOU. Where these guys backing up to into him? If it's true that he shot them in the back while they were backing up into him than this would be a case of "cold blooded murder". Also I don't understand why you all sound so damned scared? For a bunch of people who believe in enforcing the law and carrying loaded guns you guys you seem to have the same demented attitude about life that criminals do - that attitude being "I have to get mine before someone else does, because the world is out to get me". which in my mind makes you no different than the people you are trying to eradicate.
