Ugly Gun Sunday

Click to enlargeLast Sunday, I showed off the Vietnamese M1911. It was a study in what a determined man can make out of schrapnel. This week, I present the Belgrade Beretta, a study in what a deranged Serb can make out of a piece of pipe, melted soda pop cans, tin foil, and goat dung paste.

Necessity is the mother of ugly imitation.

Ugly, but you have to admire the ingenuity of the maker.

scary part is, i think you might not be kidding about the melted soda pop cans.

on the one hand, that's a pretty good casting job for an amateur. on the other hand, that's not something i want to have cast out of any metal i might melt and cast in my back yard.
