I'm with Kristopher. The video is almost cute, but it does show some cyclists' self-righteous (and completely irritating) tendencies. She could've made an honest-to-goodness helpful video...

e.g. My Dad (who rides an Electra Townie 24) hit a cyclist in his Accord a few years back. Doofus on the bike was riding in the bike lane, AGAINST TRAFFIC. Dad's pulling out of a driveway where no lefts are possible, so he only looks to his left to merge with traffic. Blammo. Bicycle goes under the car. The rider was ok, shaken up, and then cited by the police for disregarding traffic laws.

3 months later, my best friend ALMOST does the same thing at a different part of town.

Now, a serious cyclist would have lights, be on the correct side of the road, etc. But sometimes a guy pedaling a velocipede is just an @$$hole that owns a bike...

I would've enjoyed a more serious, instructional video.

Sometimes you get forced into going the wrong way in a bike lane ... often their is no lane on the other side of the road.

When I find myself in such a situation, I assume drivers making right turns are just not going to see me, and just stop for them ... the folks who can kill them when they pull into traffic are all to their left, and that will always be where their attention is.
