Ugly Gun Sunday
Frankly, I don't know for certain what this Kalashnikov variant is........ Except ugly. I'd like to own it though.

Looks like 2 7.62x54R magazines welded together. Man...that's nasty!
wow. brutally ugly.
A fire breathin' bullet hose?
That would be the "Mad MAKs" version.
Red beat me to it. Looks like somebody tore the daylights out of a Dragunov to make it, like baaaad, man, 'cuz it shoots them BIG bullets...
Yea, that's a Drag receiver and dust cover, and those mags are Drag mags, not FPK/PSLs.
Looks like somebody tore the daylights out of a Dragunov
Nope, didn't start out its life as a Dragunov. A Dragunov or variant of it won't have the magwell touching the front of the trigger guard.
Other than that, I have no idea where in the hell this thing came from.
Look at the Romak-3/PSL over at http://www.dragunov.net/
They are not true Dragunov rifles, they use a heavy duty AK receiver and parts to shoot the 7.62x54R round.
You will note the magazine is right next to the trigger guard. However, look at the gas tube. It gets tapped of the barrel at a right angle instead of at a 45 degree. This is, I believe the way the updated AKs are being made nowadays.
Whatever it is, meth and bathtub hooch appear to have had major roles in that project.
Found it. Chechnean hand made.

I've never cared much for the AK or any of it's variants. I much prefer the SKS. I think it is a much better looking, handling and shooting gun.
I think the AKs are just someone tinkering with a good thing (the SKS) trying to make it better with little success.
I will say that I have never owned or even shot a real AK. All I've ever shot was the many cheap variants and I'll take another SKS over any of them.
Having said that, this is definitely one fugly gun. I wouldn't pay for it but if you got me drunk enough I'd treat it like a fugly woman. I'd take it if you gave it to me.

P.S. - I quit drinking over 20 years ago. Every time I drank I'd break out. Doors, windows, teeth ...
More likely raw opium from they Kyber pass region...
I have a PSL ... that ain't one.
The mags are Drag mags ... a PSL mag has a raised "X" on the side, not a bunch of lines.
The receiver looks like they started with a drag receiver, in spite of the magwell position ... the dustcover is SKS style which says Drag.
Looks kind of evil to me. Badass!
It's an DYI gun, made by nasty Chechens, from parts of Kalashnikov, SVD , and some crap from junkyard
