Ugly Gun Sunday
Not really an ugly gun, just an ugly reminder of what can happen if you don't take them with you. If you are leaving the Gulf Coast, take your guns with you.

A Nurse with a Gun
Xavier is a Registered Nurse who specialized in complex wound care. He has practiced for over fourteen years in his community. He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. He strongly supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes gun control of any sort, and carries a weapon 24 hours a day. Xavier is known on various internet gun forums as XavierBreath. He is married with three children, and is moderated by an apathetic one eyed cat, a goofy Golden Retriever, and a stalwart German Shepherd Dog. One day, he hopes to be deserving of them all.

Gee.... was this one of the firearms stolen by Nagins gestapo and stored at the bottom of the lake?
(could not resist)
Good advice Xavier. The one time I had to break camp over a major storm, my weapons were the first thing in the vehicle.
It appears to be cocked. Is it still loaded?
A little Eeezox and some steel wool and that'll buff right out.
Makes me wanna cry...
There's actually a dump site in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida where they used to dump confiscated firearms... looks like that could have been retrieved from a saltwater grave.
Good luck, Xavier! Keep yer powder dry...

How long do you think it'll be before we hear cries of how it's all Bush's fault?
Condition One...
Xavier, would you mind putting up a PSA about firearms and also black powder for those in the Gulf Coast? I helped with some of the relief efforts and, while dismayed by all of the corroded guns we found in the safes of houses we cleared, there was a surprising amount of black powder that got soaked and then dried. I could have been told wrong, but we were told that we shouldn't touch these and had to wait for a disposal team to come by, wasting a lot of our limited time.
Looks like it could used re-blued...
Always clean your weapon immeadiatly after shooting old surplus corrosive ammo, or else!!. LOL
"...take your guns with you."
....and pawn them along the way. ;-)
Hope everyone takes my attempt at humor the right way. I know a nasty storm made landfall about 10 am this morning, and I hope everyone is safe.
Gold, guns, and groceries all make good trading fodder. Take 'em with you if you don't want them to be seized. I'm somewhat afraid that Nagin will have a second chance to go door to door and loot any found firearms, only this time I hope we'll be watching.
