"Most people have opinions about just everything there is, but the value of those opinions is directly proportional to whatever experience and knowledge they have of the subject in question. If we are talking about brain surgery you don’t want to do anything based on my opinions, because clearly I’m not a surgeon."---

I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
No, you're weren't a brain surgeon, but you've helped so many brains in ways brain surgeons can't. Thank you for everything. Requiescat in pace.
ReplyDeleteHey Xav, what's your favorite book by J.C.?
That's basically what Socrates said: Not everyone's opinion is valid if the opinion is not backed up with rational, informed thought.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has an opinion, but have those opinions been thought through?
Too often we are told to respect all opinions. Too often, few of those opinions are supported with any thought.
If only More Movie Stars and Song Writers listened to the Great Colonel when they decided their ideas of world politics was somehow relevant...
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people listen to that old man.
