Home Defense in Kilgore

Courtesy of KLTV News: "I grabbed his gun hand and we started tussling and we came this way towards my kitchen...we came this way and he was hitting me and I was hitting him and I pushed him into my wife's mirror right there," said Mark Dickey. "I slammed him into this wall here and I think that's when we fell on the floor. I wasn't going to let go of him. I had him...I wasn't going to let go of his gun hand."

tip of the cap to JR.

hey Xavier take a look at this.. dunno if you've seen this already but...

just goes to show, gun control is a slippery slope. they even started cracking down on their "deactivated guns" or hunks of metal resembling guns... because they were afraid that they could still be used to kill....

Shannon West, 36, said an armed robber was pointing a gun at him and ordering him to open the safe on Tuesday night. West, the night manager of Boots and Sonny’s Drive-In, 120 E. Henry St., told the robber he did not have the safe combination, but said the robber began counting down from five.

It's heartening to see people account for when they refused to accept the outcome envisioned by criminals.

My brother and I have known Mark Dickey since school days. We're both glad he's ok, and I suspect he's going to be start keeping his doors under better control and will have more tools available in the future.

It's a good thing he didn't have a gun, he might have shot himself.
