Collateral

Collateral.

A favorite gun scene, a favorite movie.

Shame about the actor.

I may have to watch it again tonight........

I actually watched that movie up to the point where he goes in to the BG place to get a new list, then I had to stop. Is it worth tracking down to finish? Please don't post spoilers, everyone.

I took back a few of the bad things I thought about Tom Cruise when I watched this movie.

Well, that settles it for tonight's movie at my house. I love the special features on the DVD. Cruise got some great training for that film.

As much as he is a bit of an oddball, I really enjoyed his performance in this, and Jamie Foxx has come a long way since In Living Color.

Evan,

I REALLY enjoyed the movie - even spent the extra bucks to see it at the theater!!

It is worth tracking down to the finish. In fact, that is going to be my Christmas present to myself. Thanks for the idea, Xavier!

Collateral a real good movie also The Last Samurai was a real good one too. Cruise seems to put a lot of effort into everything (over acting some) and tries to and does some good and seems to mess up once in a while - like the rest of us. I think I even heard about him running down and catching a thief that stole a ladies purse - luckily I don't think the thief was armed. The new movie Valkyrie looks interesting.

I hate Cruise. Casting his as a villain is only natural!

Casting Cruise as a narcissistic, sociopath is natural. His best film ever IMO.

Michael Mann brigs out the best in gunplay.

B.M.E.

Also ... the reality of the scene in how fast a gun fight can start and end is incredibly accurate.

See Rules of Gunfights for more great stuff.

Evan,

Yes, I do think its worth tracking down the CD to finish. I won't 'spoil it' other than to say I think you will like it.

Regarding the gun fights, as I think it was Eli Wallach in "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" said, "If you got to shoot, shoot - don't talk..."

Great scene. The delivery of the final round is just great movie making.

I don't get all that torqued over Cruise. Until he goes overseas and starts bad mouthing the President (whoever it may be at the time), especially on the eve of war, or sucking face with enemies like Hugo Chavez, I just don't care.

Gun in the scene, Compact USP? Woulda been cooler if it'd been a Gov't model or a Commander :)
