3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
4. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it

In Sig's defense, these are Frenchmen we're talking about... he may have mistaken it for a pastry.
Which raises the question - can one ever, truly, French proof a gun?
Oops :-) and the obvious question is why????
Can't help but wonder whether the French Policeman might have been better off to leave his head in the oven to see if it was 'heat resistant'...
To quote one N. Muntz, esq., "Ha-ha!"
maybe he forgot to set his cooking timer
To be fair to SIG, I don't think 'baked in an oven' is one of the uses they designed their guns for.
That's odd. All of my Sigs passed the 400 degree oven test.
They usually don't fail until the two weeks in the toilet test.:->
How can it go to hell and back if it can't make it out of an oven in France?
That's close to pizza cooking temperatures.
What the Art's Grandma is he doing cooking it in his oven, anyway?
"Ding!" Your pistol is now Well Done...
Congratulations! You've just disarmed yourself. How are you going to stop the Horde now?
Same way they always do. Oh wait.
I wonder if the steel would still be OK after an impromptu heat treatment like that.
"Hongh-hongh-hongh (French laugh)...oui oui, eet test naahs. Mah grahnd-muhzair's resepee. Olso try zi Glock a flambe served wis a little Bordeaux to compliment zee dark text-chairs."
removing the bullets was good idea
For those calling the guy a doofus, read X's post on his parkerized 1911.
