In the Schoolyard

We went to a crumbling old schoolyard to take some photographs this afternoon. The red brick of the abandoned Mediterranean Revival structure seemed to be seeped in old memories, laughter and otherwise.

I think my model must have been feeling the memories of people long gone as well.

I wish my teenage daughter was as cooperative with my picture taking...maybe I need to bribe her with more range time.

As a side benefit, you'll have an almost daily record of Little Darling growing up.

I work in an area of town with lots of waterblasted old brick. It's really pretty. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a photographer shooting portraits.

Hey Xavier
Man I love your site. I commented numerous times, been brought to tears and laughed till my sides hurt. I sent you a link one time on military bicycles.
I really dig your photography your daughter is the most lovely subject ever. (Besides my daughter of course :))
But man don't you ever think about the dangers of displaying her so openly on the net? Please give it some thought. You know as well as anybody the dangers. Has pride overruled your protective instinct?
Don't mean to offend or come across in any way other than as a fellow father who also loves his children dearly. Blog forever my friend.
