Xavier is a Registered Nurse who specialized in complex wound care. He has practiced for over fourteen years in his community. He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. I wanted to ask you about the Springfield XD pistols. What do you think about them? Or the newer generations of handguns that seem to be following the glock trend?
Sorry it seems so off topic but I've been making inquirys before getting to my first buy. I don't want to start with a .45 because I'd probably develop a flinch trying to tame the recoil. I can handle the 9mm pretty well so far.

I owned a Springfield XD at one time. It was a durable, safe and accurate pistol. During the AWB it came out with the ability to use Beretta 92FS magazines. Brilliant, as there were a lot of B92 15 rounders still available.
The only reason I sold mine was I went with the 45 cartridge, and plastic tactical guns don't do much for me. The XD9 shot well, was reliable as all get out, and since I bought it used, I didn't take a beating on resale.
