Question

I am needing to obtain a few of the triangular split rings for a couple of cameras I am tinkering with. Does anyone know what they are actually called so I can Google them, or does anyone know of a source for them?

Xavier: I think that you're already referring to them correctly as "split-rings."

Try "strap eyelet".

WV = "istest"; da! is test of ability to fix camera as quickly as possible.

Oh, and the things that are inside the strap eyelets are the lug rings.

Sorry about that.

Triangular split rings? Triangular split rings.

I didn't so much care with mine, I installed a small round one. My FTn is rather beat up though, i bought it specifically as a working camera to teach myself with.

Taught myself more than shooting, too... had to repair it, complete seal and foam replacement and degunking the shutter leaves. And one of these days I need to pull the top off and replace the focusing screen. Someone I respect very much was trying to help and ended up putting a smear on it where a fleck of old foam used to be, and filled the etching. Useable, but mildly annoying.

Anyhow, not bad for body and two lenses being $90 :)

Where'd the guns go? :(

haha just kidding. I just hope the 1911's and ugly gun sundays haven't taken a back seat to the new hobby, though it is quite an enjoyable and worthy pursuit as well.

Oh maybe you should have a ugly camera thursday or something too. haha

Cheers.
