Ugly Gun Sunday
On proud display by the Mexican police, is a gold plated and engraved AK with a carved California stock.

He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. He strongly supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes gun control of any sort, and carries a weapon 24 hours a day. Xavier is known on various internet gun forums as XavierBreath. He is married with three children, and is moderated by an apathetic one eyed cat, a goofy Golden Retriever, and a stalwart German Shepherd Dog. One day, he hopes to be deserving of them all.

I'm not sure what to say, or if anything should be said.
What is it in the mind of man that seeks that kind of adornment?
An AK is not lovely, but can have a mechanical and historical beauty.
THIS one.... does not. It has nothing but shininess.
Perhaps it serves a tacticool purpose in a burning Mexican sun, blinding ones foes. No wonder they wear sunglasses. You'd need welders goggles with this thing!
"Gold plated"?
Looks like rattle-can Rust-oleum to me... :)
Yeah, but it's GOLD Rustoleum!
Well, if that is what the government says the gunshops are selling to the drug cartels, I say I'm glad it is out of this country!
At first, I thought it was from Saddam's collection - bad taste knows no borders!
And is the stock compliant with the California regulations?
The hood ornament is what slays me.
With the barrel cut down that far, and lacking the backpressure increasing muzzle device from the AKS types, would that gun even cycle?
hahaha. I love it! It's so ridiculous and over the top it's STYLISH!
