Xavier is a Registered Nurse who specialized in complex wound care. He has practiced for over fourteen years in his community. He often provided nursing service in areas where law enforcement refused to enter without back-up. Xavier now works in surgery. Xavier has been an avid shooter for over 30 years. He strongly supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes gun control of any sort, and carries a weapon 24 hours a day. Xavier is known on various internet gun forums as XavierBreath. He is married with three children, and is moderated by an apathetic one eyed cat, a goofy Golden Retriever, and a stalwart German Shepherd Dog. One day, he hopes to be deserving of them all.

The Four Rules
1. All firearms are always loaded
2. Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at anything you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
4. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it
The Five Rules of Concealed Carry
1. Your concealed handgun is for protection of life only.
2. Know exactly when you can use your gun.
3. If you can run away -- RUN!
4. Display your gun, be prepared to go to jail.
5. Don't let your emotions get the best of you.

X,Nagin was not in the race. Term limits.
Note that Nagin was term limited, so it isn't an upset of the incompetent although it probably would have been had he been able to run.
But with Landrieu I keep flashing on names like Kennedy and Richard Daley, and even Romney and Gore or maybe Bush or not-quite-Biden.
You can only grow up to be President, Governor, Senator, Congressman or Mayor if it runs in your family in America.
Think of the election savings if we just resort to pure primogeniture?
Xavier,
I have to ask; what do you think about him? I've heard 'uncomplimentary' things about Mary Landrieu (I assume there's some familial relationship involved) so I'm curious.
Since I've lived in Alaska for the past 19+ years (with 5 before that from 1983 to 88), I've become recently familiar with Sara Palin so I know that there are 'two sides to every issue'. I like Sara (even though I know that there are many in Alaska who don't).
What do you think about him? Is this 'good' for New Orleans?
Well heck, whooped again. I suppose if a dead gar had run it could be elected......
Landrieu good for NOLA? I don't know really. I just heard it on the news this AM and decided to post.
The wrong one is bolded.
Don't you understand?
THE FREAKING SAINTS WON THE FREAKING SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOHOOOO!
No one cares about the mayor of NOLA. He's just another crook. I lived under the original Landrieu.
Where's my duct tape? The Saints won the freaking Super Bowl! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh boom.
For us out of towners, I believe Mitch is related to Mary, it's a big clan after all. He's the son of 'Moon' Landrieu IIRC, the last caucasian mayor of NOLA. Good luck to him, the town's in hog heaven for the next few days but he's got a big job ahead of him. Not just cleaning up after Katrina, cleaning up after Nagin.
