From an email
Here's a billboard recently established on I-75 just south of Lake City and a group gathered there to celebrate its unveiling. The cost of 10 months rental of the billboard and doing the artwork was $6500. That's a reasonable cost to reach out to 1,000,000 vehicles per month and perhaps motivate participation in the electoral process.

I reserve the right to not publish ignorant ill-informed and filthy comments from vile cretins who have a four letter vocabulary. Further, anonymous comments with strong opinions and personal attacks may be rejected. If you want to voice a strong opinion, at least have the courage to sign your name to it. You don't even have to use your name, make something up so the next person can address your comment without confusion.
All I can say is ,....AMEN.
ReplyDeleteP.S., love the blog, hope it doesn't go away anytime soon.

Now THAT is what America is all about when we get our dander up because of our own and have the God (and Bill of Rights) given right to speak our minds. I just hope these folks listen before the fury of the dander won't be limited to signage. Everyone must educate themselves on what is going on around us; right in front of us, and vote them out in November. It is the only peaceful way to end this.

Anon/Lost in Jacksonville,
ReplyDeleteThe Bill of Rights doesn't give us anything. It simple codifies and (alledgedly) protects rights given us by nature and/or the creator of our choosing. Other than that minor, and admittedly pedantic point, you're spot on.
Xav, Glad to see you back.

ReplyDeleteYou are definitely correct. I should have stated (and Bill of Rights insured).
Your (alledgedly) reference is even more spot on. It is SUPPOSED to cement the observence of our rights by the gov but these days, I guess is up to how many justices are leaning left...
Sad but true. And you can't vote them out.

Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I too hope this blog doesn't go away anytime soon!
