Walking Running the Dog

It warmed up some this afternoon, and Ilsa was joyous as I leashed her up and rolled the old Raleigh out for a ride. We did a double dipping of riding and running, and soon she was panting nicely.

I suppose we had both been missing our rides.

Good to see you and Ilsa back in the saddle.

    Blessings to you and yours.

    X,

How do you keep Ilsa from coming back in toward your bike?

How far do you typicaly run with her?

I have a three year old Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch that I bike with. We typically do 2.5-3 miles when we go.

  4. She learned that front wheel can be painful. As a result, she maintains distance well, and keeps an eye on it for when I turn.

Ted, we go out for about an hour or so, I'm not sure how far. We break it up by stopping at the high school for water and to let her retrieve her toy from the football stands. That wears her out pretty good.

I've got a 1yr old Doberman that absolutely loves pulling me behind a longboard skateboard in his harness. Have been doing it with him since he was 5 months. He'll run full bore for 3 miles and wants to go out 2-3 times a day. The neighbors think it's funny- I'm just glad I've found something that can properly wear him out... A tired puppy is a good puppy;)
