Justice is Coming

This man wants clemency and forgiveness. He says he's a born again Christian, his sins washed away by Jesus himself. "My deeds now are simple, for I'm a simple man. But (they're) honest, upright and come from a sincere heart," Morales told Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in his handwritten clemency appeal. "Does this mean I'm perfect? Not hardly. But I'm definitely not the same foolish misguided person I once was."

Michael Morales is scheduled to be lethally injected at San Quentin Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006. He has avoided justice for over 25 years.

On Jan. 8, 1981 Morales strangled 17 year old Terri Winchell with a belt. When the belt snapped, he beat her in the head 23 times with a hammer as she fought to save her life. She struggled so hard patches of hair were torn from her scalp. Morales then dragged the unconscious girl into a nearby vineyard, raped her and stabbed her four times in the chest. Winchell's body was found two days later.

Morales is 46 now, twice the age he was when he arrived at San Quentin. His family and friends claim he is a gifted artist and beloved father who has used his mistakes to keep others out of trouble. Yeah. Right. Who gives a damn? The evil he has done far exceeds any smidgen of good he has attempted to do just to save his stinking skin. Senor Morales, I hope Mr. John Wayne Gacey is waiting to give you a few art lessons when the gates of Hell open to receive your raping murderous carcass in under 24 hours. Go to hell you inhuman waste of flesh.

What a sad excuse for living cells. His letter is like reminds me of the crying plea by that FL guy to the judge last week, though he raped and killed a little girl. He said he needed to stay alive to be a good, positive influence on his kids!! What a piece of crap. The judge ought to be allowed to shoot the POS right there in front of everyone.

But I do have one problem with him being executed. Is a needle to the arm that causes you to dose off into death really punishment. I guess we're just at a real problem with the justice system. On one hand, I would prefer a hanging or a shot to the stomach that just makes him bleed to death, at least feel a fraction of the pain and terror he caused his victim. On the other hand, if we keep him alive b/c we're not allowed to kill him in an "inhumane" way, then should our tax dollars pay for him to be locked up? I say you put these guys in a facility, built through slave labor by violent criminals, chain them to their cells, make them grow gardens in the heat and/or cold to grow their own food, no taxpayer money. And, if you are a conficted murder or rapist, and you fall ill, no special heathcare other than what the prison can afford or through the payments by the prisoner's family. I guess until that happens, we might as well kill him.

Lethal injection is too nice. I vote eye for an eye.

Strangle him half to death, beat him in the head with a hammer, have him drug around by his hair then raped by something big(like a jackhammer), then stabbed four times in the chest and let him bleed out.

That's more like it.

It's a good thing that he has found G-d, turned himself around and been born again. If he has been reading his bible he will recognize the fact that this is the time to render unto Ceasar, and rejoice in his comming home. Since he doesn't see it that way, I call bull sh*t and say he's just stalling for more time.
